Cheap Designer Clothing - Did You Make a New Years Resolution to Dress Sexier?

Does your present wardrobe consist of mostly worn out sweats and "mom jeans"?
Are you ready for a change, but you don't have much change to spend?
If you answered yes to both questions, I have 2 SECRETS that I would love to share with you!

What could possibly be sexier than designer clothes by Ann Taylor, Ralph Lauren or Jones New York?
Ummm...What about CHEAP designer clothing by Ann Taylor, Ralph Lauren and Jones New York. Yes, Cheap designer clothing!!

I have 2 SECRETS that will allow you to fill your wardrobe with sexy, high quality, cheap designer clothing. Are you ready? Are you sure? O.K...Thrift stores and consignment stores! Yes, I said, " thrift stores and consignment stores". Those are my 2 secrets. No, they are not just for the very poor. That is what the majority of women think. However, thrift stores and consignment stores are for "middle class women" who are smart enough to spend as little as possible, while continuing to look as sophisticated and sexy as possible.

Are you still with me? O.K, let's shed some light on how to find these cheap designer clothing gold mines and make them work for you. O.k, girls, let's get down to business...

Thrift stores: First, make a list of thrift stores in your immediate area. Also, add stores that are in the inner city and outer suburban areas. We are looking for the cheap designer clothing gold mines. Some stores receive huge deposits of designer clothing and some very few. Sometimes, those deposits might be near exclusive suburbs. Most folks would think that the best deals are always near the ritzy areas. However, that is not always the case. Often times, the suburban areas ship their donations to inner city stores. Our job is to find which stores have the best supply of cheap designer clothing. Now, make phone calls. Girl, keep it simple! Don't go wasting gas and time running to all of those stores. Simply call the store and politely ask if they have a good supply of designer clothing. Trust me, they will know and be happy to chat with you about it. Now, if they answer yes, keep them on your list. If they answer no, remove them from your list. How easy was that? Well, you have created your list of cheap designer clothing gold mines. Girl, that is a very valuable list! Next, we want to visit these stores at least twice a week. Most of secondhand stores restock quite frequently. You don't want to miss the day that they put out the sexy, black Ann Taylor spandex dress that retailed for $270.00, but has a thrift store tag of $35.00. Yes, by all means, you will want to shop at least bi-weekly.

Consignment stores: These secondhand stores are pricier than thrift stores. Thrift stores take donations and then sell their items. Consignment stores purchase their item and then re-sell them. The quality at consignment stores is consistently high. Whereas at thrift stores, you have to carefully screen your cheap designer clothing. The same sexy, black Ann Taylor spandex dress that you purchased for $35.00 at the thrift store will cost you much more at the consignment store. I would guess the price to be approximately $150.00. Yes, a huge difference. But, it is still a huge savings.

Which do I prefer, thrift store or consignment store? Well, I have been a secondhand store enthusiast for more than 20 years and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE cheap designer clothing from thrift stores! A brand new sexy, black BCBG dress for $35.00. TOO EXCITING FOR WORDS! For me, that's worth visiting the store bi-weekly and carefully screening items. What do you think?

I think that you should have absolutely no problems at all keeping that New Years resolution!!
Good Luck and have a great year!
